Shaving

At the age of 13, my Parents "allow" me to start shaving. I thought I was so grown...after all, I was old enough to shave & a new teenager. I knew everything about everything. After 20 years (oh my--20 years have really passed--I'm shocked--give me a minute to absorb this thought--20 years!---Okay, I think I'm recovering a little..20 yrs!)...Now, what's my point again...oh yeah....After 20 years of shaving, I hate it. Since I am Single, I shave once a week on Saturday. I'm such a routine person. I realized last night I have not shaved my legs in about 3.5 weeks. I am totally disgusted with myself. I could barely sleep with myself last night!

How old were you when you first started shaving? What's the longest you went without shaving?

I was 13 when I started shaving....Have hated it ever since. Longest I've gone w/o shaving 8 wks. and that was last year while I was hospitalized. I have a pretty good excuse though, right?

I have no idea when I started much less when when I quit. I have no problem sleeping with myself nor does my husband. See he is bald and I have no issue with that. He is wise (bald people are you know) to not comment on my bountiful body hair. I do take care to shave my pits in the summer should the kids and I venture over to the neighborhood pool...well a couple of times I forgot..see I am nearly 40. But on the plus side I don't care much anymore what people say or think.

There's nothing wrong with not shaving. You don't grow mold or gain any illness. You just grow hair. Don't let childhood development affect your adulthood.
