Yesterday, I purchased a ReliOn blood Glucose Monitor at my favorite store, Wal-mart. I am not a technical person. Electronics and I are definitely have a love/hate relationship. It took my friend, Kenny, to come hook up my TV, VCR & cable box for it all to work. Well, my brand new glucose monitor was no different than any other electronics I have ever owned. It took me roughly 45 minutes to figure out what I was actually doing wrong. I kept thinking the monitor was broken.....another red head moment! When I finally figured out it was my brain that was broken, the monitor worked. It took me until after I got to the office today to figure out how the little lancer stick actually works. Last night, I kept stabbing myself without much success. Since I realized how to use the lancer, my fingers are happy & pain free.
The results are in: My sugar levels are about average even with taking the steroids. However, I did eat a piece of apple cake last night. My blood sugar was a little high, but nothing to be concerned about. HipHipHooray!
