So, it's July (can you believe it's July already?!!!?) in Texas. In other words, it's hot as HELL! I love living in Texas. I love my life here.........I have a great Church, friends, a job, 2 great dogs, one grumpy old man cat, friends who have become family, and a Cousin who lives in Houston. I have everything a Girl could want (except a husband, but that's a totally different subject I will eventually touch on again soon)! I should be happy, but I am NOT! Lately I have been Hot, Sweaty, Sticky, and in a bad mood nasty mood. When I even think about walking the dogs, I get in a bad mood.........Once I am outside walking the dogs, I instantly get upset & want to cry. I get angry at them when they don't go to the bathroom right away.......my girls are very lucky they are so lovable! Phoebe got groomed a couple of weeks ago, and since then she runs to every shady part in the yard. I could not figure Phoebe out until this week why she was being so weird while she was outside. I took off my shoes to walk on the grass. The grass was HOT, and felt like little razor blades since it only gets watered once a week. It was horrible! So, after Phoebe does her business now, I pick her up. I can not subject Phoebe's little paws to little razor blades everyday. Yep, My Pups are spoiled. Abby just loves the warmth of the sun & it seems the heat does not bother her (she's a weird little pup)! So, let's get back to me!!! I simply can not take it anymore. I wanted to go to a Baseball game or two this summer, as well as the zoo.......who was I kidding.......I will go only if the zoo and baseball stadium get A/C! I need a summer home where the weather is 70 to 75 degrees all year long! My A/C has been running non-stop for a week now!!! Can you imagine how much my electric bill will be?
To all my Friends: If you can not find me this summer, I am simply at home in my pj's enjoying the joys and comforts on the A/C! If you want to go to the pool at my apartment complex, please call me. I love going to the pool, but I refuse to go alone! Call me up, bring the kids, and let's make a day of it.
Stay Cool My Friends!

Rita Mae
Today is the One Year Anniversary of the Death of my MawMaw. I miss MawMaw every single day.........the pain of her Death is still very new. I no longer cry everyday, but there are times it hits me & the pain is unbearable. It's funny how quickly time passes..........It seems like yesterday I was flying home for her funeral. MawMaw's funeral was bittersweet. I had a great time with my family. I spent time with family members I have not seen in 15+ years. At times, I forgot MawMaw died and I thought "I have not talked to MawMaw in so long, I should call her"......A couple of times, I actually picked up the phone, dialed her number, and thought it would be great to talk to her today.........only to have PawPaw pick up the phone, and then I remember she is no longer with us. WOW, talk about a shock. I laugh about it now, but the first time it was hard for me to deal with it. It's funny, but the home my Grandparents shared is still MawMaw's house. Sorry PawPaw, it will always be MawMaw's house. ;) Praise God for the Wonderful Life Rita lived........I am very blessed to have had MawMaw in my life. She taught me how to love. MawMaw, I miss you.
The Joy of Tooth Pulling
Last Thursday (one whole week ago), I went to my "mean, hateful" dentist to have one wisdom tooth pulled. Let's just say, it has NOT been a pleasant experience! I did okay over the weekend, but on Monday I started to have incredible pain. I called the dentist crying asking to come in. I made an appt. early on Tuesday morning......my dentist was my Knight in Shining Armor......he cleaned out the whole in my mouth, and it felt much better......I did not have a dry socket......Thank God......I do not think I could have handled the pain of a dry socket! I hate the dentist......actually I hate all dentist.......they are mean, hateful, crude people. I can not imagine a person growing up saying they wanted to be a Dentist.......Imagine working in the mouth of your patients every day........Imagine the bad breath you have to face everyday! Gross, Yuk! My pain is slowing going away........I still have some pain, but I can eat solid foods again (Hip, Hip, Hooray!!!) Praise God for Darvocet!

Projects, Movies, UFO's, and My Men=Great Weekend
I had a great weekend. Friday night, I went to Marcia's house to work on our Sorority scrapbook.
Saturday, I cleaned my apartment from top to bottom. I love a cleaned home! It gives me a great feeling of accomplishment! (Okay, cleaning MY OWN house gives me that feeling---I am definitely NOT cleaning anyone else's mess!!) I took the dogs outside about 6 times, talked to neighbors, read a book, took a shower, and even shaved my legs! Busy day filled with chores. I went to the movies with my friend, Deb, and watched The Break-Up. The movie was good. I did not want it to end the way it did, but maybe the Next Movie will the The Make-Up! I am hoping (fingers crossed!) ;) After the movie, the weirdest thing happened when Deb and I were walking to the car. We both saw a UFO in the sky. It was a huge black snake looking "thing" just floating in the air...........the UFO must have been huge b/c even when it was miles away from us, it was still visible. Deb and I officially have seen a UFO. I kept telling Deb maybe it was an alien space ship coming to take over the world. I guess the Aliens decided not to take over the world on Saturday evening.............Watch out world, we all must be prepared for their arrival. Weird!
Sunday was a great day! I went to Sunday School Class and Church. My friend, Tim, and I take turns teaching our class. It was my turn to teach. My Class decided to teach on newspaper clippings during the summer, and how it relates to the bible. Yahoo News had an article about how American's have fewer close friends than we did 20 years ago. It was a great lesson. Praise to God for giving me the right words to say! I think we all learned something from it.
Sunday afternoon, I read a little more & went to the movies with friends. I went to the movies with Kent & Eric. We went to see the Devil wears Prada. It was a Great movie (a must see)! Kent and I are friends from New Orleans.....14 years ago.......this makes Kent my oldest friend in Dallas (Poor Kent)! Here's how Kent and I met: I met Scott, an old ex-friend now, who was dating a man by the name of James. Scott and James broke up. James and Kent starting dating. Kent moved to Dallas.......James followed Kent to Dallas, Scott moved to Dallas shortly after James, and I moved to Dallas 3 months after Scott. Kent and James dated for about 6 years. Kent and James broke up. Now, Kent and Eric are together. I would have to say when Kent definitely upgraded when him and Eric started dating. Eric is HOT, extremely HOT........and by the way so is Kent!!!! Kent and Eric are a great couple! I can tell Kent is extremely happy! It's amazing to have Kent as a friend (he is truly a great guy)......and out of everyone we hung out with back home and then here in Dallas, Kent and I are the only ones who keep in contact with each other! Praise God for old friends and adventures!
Happy 4th of July! Praise God for our Military. Please pray for protection and safety for everyone in the war zones.
God Bless!

Long week
This has been a long week! I have been busy most of the week, but it's still been a long one. I think some of my problem has been I have been a little lonely this week. My friend, Deb, went out of town for a week on the youth mission trip. My friend, Karla, had her other best friend in town this week, and I hated to even call b/c I wanted them to spend time together. I talked to my Mom this week. Mom completely shocked me. Mom who has only lost 1/4 lb told me I should stop eating things with cheese and butter on the things I eat (mind you, the portions I eat are limited....so, I am limited to the amount of cheese and butter I can have). Then she asked me what I was eating, blah, blah, blah! How dare she ask me what I have been eating when I have lost 44.5 lbs. I am still on track for my goal this year. She was trying to tell me what to eat, and what not to eat! So, I was really upset & hurt with her. I have not reached out to call anyone else because I have been busy (I guess I would not have been so lonely if I would have just picked up the phone to call another friend, but I guess I was having my little own pity party!). So, I have been a little down. Ohhh by the way, I am on my monthly....So, I have been moody, lonely, sad, happy, and grumpy all at the same time. Go figure!
Here's was my week: Monday: Karla's 30th surprise Party. Tuesday: I went to my friend Janie's house. Wednesday: I washed clothes and cooked. Thursday: I went to Karla's house to celebrate her actual birthday. I cooked red beans and rice for Karla. Friday: I am going over to my Sorority Sister, Marsha's, house to work on a project. I know I was busy, but I was still lonely! Thank God I have two active dogs who love me unconditionally!
I really do not have any plans at all for the weekend......My only plan is to Clean my Palace!!!!! Can a Queen ever have a day off?!
Happy 4th of July Weekend.
God Bless!

Girl's Weekend Rocks
Hello Morning My Blog Fans/Nazi's!
Last weekend, I went to Oklahoma for a Girl's Weekend! The Girl's were Deb, Amy, Tammy (another Tammy), Michell, Crystal, and myself. The theme for the weekend was Childhood toys & games!
Friday morning, Deb and I drove to Oklahoma with my dogs. The drive to OK was great! Deb and I had a great silly time driving to OK! (Thanks for driving me to OK, Deb! You are the best) The dogs did not get sick once the entire trip (Abby waited until she got home Sunday to get sick)! Deb and I met Amy, Crystal, Tammy, and Michell at the cottage. God was working miracles b/c all of us arrived at the cottage at the same time! Thank you Jesus!
Friday we tie-dyed t-shirts! We all had a great time tie-dying our shirts. I actually did not think my shirt would come out pretty, but it's the coolest! I am looking forward to wearing my new tie-dyed t-shirt! Crystal had the best looking T-shirt!
Friday night, we ate at a great little Italian restaurant. The food was delicious. Our waiter was named Endrit, and he was so handsome....Crystal and I fought over him. It actually came down to my dogs or Endrit. Crystal loved Abby and Phoebe. So, Crystal said I could take my dogs home or Endrit......My Pups came home with me, and I suppose Crystal kidnapped Endrit and took him home with her! Go Crystal! We played games when we got back to the cottage. Amy is an amazing little hostess! Amy got prizes for all the winners of each game! It was a great day!
Saturday we walked around one of the little small towns in OK. We went to antique stores, an entire sale, and ate lunch at a Mexican restaurant. One of my favorite activities is shopping at Antique, Estate, or Garage Sales. I was so excited to go into each new store. I got a few new tea cups and saucers, and a couple of kitchen decorations! I can not wait to go to my next antique store. Anyone want to go with me?!?
Saturday night, Tammy cooked steak on the grill! It was so yummy! We played games, and everyone got new prizes again! (Thanks Amy!) It was about Midnight when Amy, Crystal, Deb, and myself went to a dock at the National Park. Deb and I held on to each other b/c there were spiders all around us! Gross, Yuk! Some spiders were big enough to eat a human (just joking)! Amy and Crystal were the brave ones b/c they laid down on the dock. Deb and I stood up the entire time, too scared to sit down. While we were on the dock, a man got out of his truck, and headed down our dock. As the man approached Deb called out "Friend or Foe", and the man NEVER answered her! Deb and I were beginning to really panic. The man finally said he was Ranger Bill. Honestly, I think he thought we were drinking........but we were all happy on life and the great weekend we were having! He actually had to ask if we were drinking & when we told him "No" he left us to tend to the other wild animals in the National Park!
Sunday morning, we woke up to find sweet little notes from Michell. Michell left early to go home to be with her Husband on Father's Day. I was so lazy on Sunday morning! I did not want to do anything! We packed up the cottage, and finally head to the mineral pool. The mineral pool is suppose to have a warm side and a cold side. Well, the warm side was HOT, and the cold side was Warm.......and I thought it was completely miserable. I could only stand the pool for about 20 minutes. The dogs were in there crate in the pool area. It was not a good experience for them or me! If anything was bad about the weekend, it was the warm pool in June! The temperature outside was over 90 degrees and then the pool was over 90 degrees too! It was miserable!
Deb and I left about 2pm to drive back to Texas! Deb and I were so exhausted......by the time we arrived at my place, I think we all were done for driving for the day! Thanks Deb for driving the entire weekend! You Rock!
It was great to spend time with All Christian Women. I am truly blessed to have spent the entire weekend laughing, shopping, eating, and playing games with Amazing Women! Thanks to Amy, Deb, Tammy, Crystal, and Michell for making my weekend so memorable! I adore you all!

Is it Monday already?
I had a great weekend! Friday night, I went to my friend, Heather & Jason's, for dinner. It was great! Heather and I sat outside on their front patio for hours on Friday. When Heather suggested we sit on the patio, I thought I would die b/c it felt like it was 152 degrees outside. I had a great time sitting on the patio and talking! It was not even hot! The more Heather and I talked, the more we realized we have so much in common and our lives parallel in so many ways! It's pretty weird! I am enjoying getting to know you more and more, Heather. Sharon knew what she was doing when she said we should be friends! Thanks Sharon--You are the Bomb-Diggadee! New Friends are always great!
It was about 10:45pm when little Lukey woke up sick. All I am going to say about Luke being sick, I will never eat peanut butter again (thank goodness it's not one of my favorite foods)! We cleaned Luke & his beddings and I went home. Heather told me Luke was sick a few times after I left too, but Luke is feeling better! Praise God!
Saturday I cleaned, and had dinner with friends. Sunday, I went to Krislynn's Dance recital. She was simply adore! DANCE, Krislynn, DANCE! I look forward to one day going to my own child's recital! I can not wait!

Facts about VBS
Life has been constantly moving & shakin' lately! VBS is under full swing........the children are having a ball, but I can see exhaustion in the faces of most of the adults. VBS is a great week, but at the end of it.......I am completely wiped! Since VBS last year, I said I was NOT helping the week of VBS, but look at me......I AM helping out! Praise God, I am NOT a station or crew leader this year. I think this VBS is one of the best I have experienced. Thanks to Pastor S, Karl, and All for making this VBS the best ever.
Since I started decorating for VBS, I found muscles I have not used in years(especially the butt muscles!) At times, I wish my butt would simply fall off.
I am so exhausted at night, I can not seem to sleep. I lay in bed thinking of when I will sleep......I finally killed the sheep I was counting.
I have left dishes in the sink every night this week. This is so UN-like me. Dishes MUST be done before I go to bed, but this week I think the dish fairy forgot my house.
My back & leg pain has moved completely to my left hip. My left hip screams "sit down fat girl, SIT down."
At times, I think I am having more fun than the kiddos this week. Every night, I put on my dance shoes and dance to the VBS music........I'm such a nerd.
I have been passing out bottled water to the safety men, station, and crew leaders this week...........how much water can a grown man drink?! I am amazed. I kept thinking last night a couple of them would float away soon. The exercise is great walking back and forth to make sure everyone is fully hydrated, but when I get home I realized I have not had any water all night long. So, I drink and drink tons of water, and I think I might float away!
Each night, I have been checking in the children as they arrive for VBS. Two of the new kiddos have said, "I can not believe you do not know my name yet".......okay kiddos, I am OLD! I am lucky I remember my own name.
Last night was so sad, my Friend, H, made a huge paper mache black bear (which is pretty cool), and one of the real small kids was completely scared of him. The poor child freaked out when his crew leader tried a few times to put him closer to the bear........Great Job H on scaring the kids! ;)
Since I have been so busy this week, all I wanted to do was eat everything in my sight, but I have resisted! Damn me! Ice cream sounds great right about now!
Have a great day!
God Bless!

The Arctic has moved to Texas!?!
VBS! VBS! VBS! VBS! Vacation Bible School is Back!
I am decorating for VBS this week. My Church is slowly turning into the Arctic. I have always been a station or a crew leader for VBS, but this year I decided to help with decorations. I am not really sure which is the lesser of two evils. The actual week of VBS is so difficult for me........I work full-time, so I have to run home to take the dogs outside, and the run up to the church for VBS. I normally do not get home until about 9:30p or 10p. By the time I get home I am spent, and my dogs are ready to play b/c they have been in "bed" all day. Decorating has not been very difficult.........other than my back & leg hurting. Two more decorating days left, and VBS officially starts on Sunday! Please pray for the children during VBS.........May they have a great, fun time learning about our Lord, Jesus Christ.

A Day of Remembrance
I had a wonderful Memorial Weekend! I relaxed & enjoyed myself. I slept late, watched tv, and cooked healthy food. I house/dog sat for Kenny & Karla. It was 4 dogs and me. It was pure chaos. The dogs loved running around the house and back yard. It was blissful they could all blow off some energy! If Pongo was not trying to hump Phoebe, he was being fussed at for trying to hump Phoebe. Pongo is like the little old creepy man at the retirement home who tries to hump any female that comes along.
On Friday, I found out I actually do have a real back problem that is causing my back/leg pain. For years, I always thought my back pain was from my weight, but the Doctor said "Nope, it is heredity". So, it's not because I am a Fat Girl that I have back problems, it's simply b/c my back is going to fall off soon! I have to go see a specialist soon, maybe he can save my back! Praise God for giving me a great Doctor who is patient with me. My a1c test came back great.......6 months ago it was a 7.1, and now it is a 5.6. 6.0 or less is in normal blood sugar range! Go Tammy Go!
Memorial Day has always been a great day of remembrance for me. After Sept. 11th, I feel honored to have such Great Men and Women in America who are willing to die so I may have freedom. On Sept. 11th, we lost so many Great People in the Twin Towers. I recently read a book written by Marian Fontana who lost her husband Dave Fontana in one of the Towers. Dave was a Firefighter in NY. Marian wrote about her life as a widow, and how Sept. 11th changed her life forever. I praise God everyday for Marian's Husband, Dave, and the many men like him. How many people did he save to only die himself? How many lives were touched by Dave's hand? (Marian, Thanks so much for a beautiful book. I will truly treasure your words all the days of my life. Thanks for standing up for what you believe in, and showing women every where we can make a difference. Thanks for becoming the President of the 9/11 Widows and Victim's Family Association. I am truly proud of you.) How many lives were touched by Sept. 11th? How many lives will never be the same b/c of Sept. 11th? How many children were affected by Sept. 11th?
How many lives are touched my the war going on now? How many of our loved ones are fighting so we can have freedom? I am a member of a small church in my community, and we even have people in the war zones right now who are loved by a member of our church. I keep reading about the war, and all the great obstacles our military faces each day. We are all touched by the war, we may not know it, but every life has been touched.
I am Honored to call myself an American. I am HONORED to be a part of our countries past, and I am Graced with the opportunity to see our country grow. I am not saying America is perfect. I am saying we are truly blessed to be part of the Greatest Nation on Earth who has thousands of Men and Women who are willing to fight for our lives, freedom, happiness, and families. Lord, Bless, Guide, & Protect our Military, Government officials, and their families left behind. Give them Strength, Comfort, and Peace.
God Bless.
Garage Sales, Pigs, and Kids!
I had a good weekend. I went to Garage Sales with Heather (I had a great time Heather---Thanks)! I found a cute little coffee table. I love it! Heather and I started out with great weather, but by the time we finished it was HOT......real Hot. By the time I got home, I was finished with the Texas Summer.....and it's NOT even summer yet! What am I going to do when temperatures reach 100 degrees?! I will definitely melt! Luke was with us a better part of the morning.....Luke was so good.......We had him in and out of the car several times, and he did great! Good Job Luke! I am glad you like your new desk! Learn lots! Your Mom is a great shopper!
Saturday night, I went to the Bugh's house for a Pig Roast. It was great! I had a really great time with the kids.......especially Camden! Sharon, I think you guys should start renting Camden out! When I first arrived at the Pig Roast, Camden ran up and hugged me, I knew at that moment my heart already melted for this child. Whatever he wanted that evening, if Mom and Dad said no, he could have asked me, and I would have giving him the world! "Camden......you want how many cookies??? Okay, Let's go get you those dozen.......and do you want soda too?"
Hugs & Kisses to Luke and Camden!

Two Scares of a Lifetime in One Day!
For the last several months, everytime I stand for long periods of time my left upper thigh aches, and gets a little numb......Do you know the feeling when your foot falls to sleep and you think you have hundred tiny little needles in your foot?.......and you know the feeling immediately after the needles when your foot is waking up, but it is not completely "up" yet............well, that's what my thigh feels like when I stand for long periods of time. Yesterday, my thigh was numb, as well as a part of my left arm, and part of my left leg. So, I started doing some research on the internet, and totally freaked myself out with my self-diagnosis........In my poor little mind, I was having a full stroke! Well, I drive myself to my friend, Deb's house........so Deb could drive me to the doctors office. Here's a question for you........Why did I drive myself to Deb's house when I thought I was having a stroke? Another stupid moment in my life. Deb and I get to the doctor. Ms. Doctor does a full exam........asking questions, testing my knowledge of today's events, making sure I was aware of life around me, testing my arms & legs, visual test, sound test, and several blood test. Ms. Doctor does not think I was having a stroke (PRAISE to you Lord)......She thinks the reason my left arm & lower leg ached yesterday was caused by fatigue...........She thinks the pain in my thigh is caused by a pinched nerve in my back............However, she can not confirm what is really wrong until I have a MRI on my lower back.
Last night, I am watching the Will & Grace finale. I was relaxed, comfy on the sofa, and enjoying the time to myself when all of the sudden I hear a crash coming from the bathroom. My first reaction/thought was I have to get the dogs out of the house b/c there is someone in my bathroom going to kill us. My next thought was I way to comfy & I am in my pj's, and if someone was in my home waiting to kill me, they would have the fight of their lifetime. My dogs prance to the bathroom to find out what's going on.......and as they were by the bathroom door we heard another crash. I have never seen Phoebe so scared, she ran so fast with her tail in between her legs, jumped on the sofa with me, and she was shaking so much! I finally got brave enough to pick Phoebe up, and we walk to the bathroom. The closer I got to the bathroom the more freaked she got.......I put Phoebe down, and she ran the opposite away. I opened the bathroom door, and my shower curtain rod fell down! I assume the rod fell half way the first time, and completely the second time! No "Stranger Danger" in my house!!!!
Praise to you Lord Jesus for saving my life twice in one day! ;)

Houston or Bust
I drove to Houston over the weekend! My cousin, Tina, graduated from Nursing School! I had a good time. My Parents and PawPaw were in Houston too! It was great to see my family! My Mom and I did not agrue all weekend! Praise God! It was great spending time with everyone! I drove to Houston on Friday. Tina got "pinned" on Friday night, we all went to dinner at Outback Steakhouse, and then back to Tina's house to relax. Saturday, we ate breakfast, shopped so Tina could get everything ready for her graduation Party (the only complaint I had about the weekend was Tina should have completed her "party" shopping so her company (My Parents, PawPaw, and I) should not have had to travel all over Houston for 5 hours shopping for supplies). I had breakfast with my Mom on Mother's Day. It was the first Mother's Day we spent with each other in years. It was Great to hug & kiss her on Mother's Day! She's a great Mom! My first Mother's day without MawMaw was actually okay! I praised and thanked God for MawMaw, and after I finished praying I was okay! Prayer works wonders! I drove back to Dallas on Sunday.........I then went to Kenny's Mom's house to spend some time with my Dallas Family! Sunday was a great day!
Tina and I are so much alike it's eerie at times, but then again we are SO different. Tina listens to Hip-Hop, R& B, Rap, and Soul music. I listen to Christian Rock, Country, Jazz, Blues, Techo, Rave, Easy Listening, and some classical. Since it was Tina's Party, she played the music she likes (which is how the party should be)........By the time I left her Party, I was READY to leave! I can not stand to listen to LOUD music I do not like. It was good to see Tina have a great time with her friends! She deserves to be happy the day of her Party! Tina is a great nurse. God, I ask Blessings and Guidance for Tina as she enters into the Nursing World!
At my company we are hosting a convention this week, so as a perk the office did not open until 9:30am! It was great getting so much done this morning! I could really get use to working 9:30am until 4pm!
I have so much to do this week.........I am really looking forward to Wednesday & Thursday nights.........I have two girls nights in one week! Dinner with my Sorority Sisters on Wednesday, and Pokeno on Thursday!
God Bless!

Weekend Plans & Question of the day
I had a great weekend. Friday night, I went to dinner with the Harpers......and back to their house to discuss VBS. I am excited to help decorate for VBS. Heather and I are going to have a good time decorating! Saturday, I worked at Sonic as a fundraiser for my Sorority! Sunday was church most of the day! All in All, it was a great weekend! I really enjoyed myself catching up with old friends..............

Hopes & Dreams
When you were a child:
What did you want to do when you grew up?
Did you want kids?
Did you dream about your wedding day? If so, was your wedding day everything you hoped for?
What type of career did you want?

Texas Heat
Before I moved to Texas, no one warned me about the Texas HEAT! If I knew then what I know now, I would have moved to a State where the temperature was comfortable all year long! The closer Summer approaches the more I dread the Hot Weather.
When I got home after work yesterday, I walked the dogs......It was getting pretty warm...Thank Goodness the wind was blowing. I re-potted a plant and swept the patio! By the time I was finished, I felt way to hot to do anything else! Simply, it's not going to be a pretty summer for me! I am guessing from June 15th to Sept. 1st I am going to be the AC.
It's funny, but the older I get the more I love being outside, but the more I hate like the heat. Since I am so fair complexed, I burn so easily, the heat and sun completely wear me down......I love being in the pool......So, if you are looking for me........Come and Find me in the Pool!

Weekends are never long enough.
My "New" Life style change can be difficult at times, and can be extremely easy at times. The longer I go on the cea-how program it becomes easier, but I do have difficult moments. Last Night after I had dinner, I could have eaten a whole chocolate cake accompanied with a whole gallon of chocolate ice cream! Instead of my chocolate feast, I had a little cup of sugar-free jello! It sure did not do the trick, but at least it helped with my sweet tooth!
My Saturday was getting my oil changed, walking the dogs, laundry, getting "beautiful" to start my day, walmart, horse races, racing back home to change to go to a banquet, taking the dogs out, finally arriving at the banquet a little late, going out for dessert (but I only had water) with friends after the banquet, driving home from my friends house, walking the dogs, and sleep at about Midnight!
My Sunday was walking the dogs, getting "beautiful" to start my day, drive to church at 8:30a, Sunday School at 9:30am, helping with a baptizism, the sermon, running to get lunch, a meeting at church on VBS at 12:30p, took the dogs out, finish the laundry, napping for an hour, driving to church, the sermon, grocery store, home, cooked dinner, watched TV, took the dogs out, and sleep at about Midnight.
NO wonder I am exhausted everyday, and NO wonder why I never think I rest on the weekends!
This coming weekend I am resting, watching movies, and cleaning up! This week is even going to be pretty slow.........I am looking forward to a little down time!
God Bless!

Child Slavery.......What we should know....
At work, every January my team has a competition to see who can lose the most weight.....whoever loses what they say they will lose goes to the BIG LOSER Luncheon. Since I lost 27 lbs, I went to Lunch on Monday with all the Losers! It was a great lunch!
Tuesday, we had an off site lunch meeting.
Wednesday, we had our Women's quarterly luncheon...............The speaker at the Women's luncheon spoke on a topic most of us are unfamiliar about........The topic was on Sex Slaves/Child Trafficking. The average child who is abducted into sexual slavery is between 11 and 13......it's mostly girls who are abducted. The children are abducted all over the world, even right in our backwards. The abductors are using several different approaches to take our children away from us. The abductors tell some of the children they will have better lives away from their families, they will become famous, etc. One of the biggest way a child is abducted is via the internet. Pop-up adds for Porn sites come up constantly when children are researching or playing on the internet. Parents, I urge you to closely monitor ALL of your child's activity on the computer. Please don't be a friend to your child, PARENT them.......Make it a point to know their friends, the Parents of their friends, all of your Child's passwords on the computer for email, blogs, games, etc. Please never divulge too much information on the internet. The information someone has on you or your child means they are ONE step closer to finding you. If you would like more information on human trafficking please go to www.sharedhope.org.
Peace be with you........In God's Grace I stand,
Tammy

Girl's Night IN
On Saturday, we had a Girls Night In while the Guys went out! The Girls had a great time! I really did not want to the Girls Night In, b/c I did not want to deal with all the kids running around and causing havoc. To my surprise, I had a GREAT time! It was great holding Allison or Abigail, and playing with the big kids! When Jillian came running up to me just to give me a hug and kiss, it was joyous! When I hold a newborn, it brings such peace to my life. I look forward to the day I have my children. Honesty, I fear having children b/c they do not stay newborns forever. I have come up with a solution to my little fear! Once my children are eating solid foods, and are beginning the toddler stage, I am shipping to the Biel family. They already have 5 kids.........what's a couple more, right?!????!!
The Facts of Life......
It's amazing how quickly life passes before you.......It's amazing when a smell takes you back to the Good Ole Days! I used White Rain hairspray this morning for the first time in years. My Grandparents have always used White Rain. My MawMaw always said it was the best hair spray.
I keep remembering my childhood, and all the time I spent with my Grandparents. I have a picture of my Grandparents on my computer I see everyday. It was taken on 02/27/04. Who would have ever thought 2 years later we would have been at my MawMaw's funeral? This morning I was remembering all the great times I had with MawMaw. She was truly a great Lady........She was also a little on the crazy side, but then again I think that's where my Mom and I get it from! ;)
Praise God for Grandparents.

Easter Fun!
Easter weekend was so fun-filled & exciting I wish I could have one more day off! Friday, I went to Dallas Blooms with my friends Deb & Robert! The day was Gorgeous......it was the perfect day......not too hot & not too cold! Deb, Robert and I sat down for about an hour just enjoying each other company, taking in the scenery, and people watching! I just love people watching at public events! People are so very strange, I love them all! Saturday, I went to my Church's Easter Egg Hunt! My friends who organized the Hunt did an amazing job! We even had people who are not members of our church come to the Hunt! It was great seeing new faces. The children really had lots of fun! Sunday was Easter! Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ. Thanks for your amazing gift! I Love & Honor you always! I went to Church on Sunday. Pastor Bruce preached on Hope! Bruce's sermon was wonderful! After church, I went over to the Biel House for lunch & games! I had an amazing time at the Biel's! I learned how to play a new game.......It's called Farkel. Doesn't the word Farkel sound absolutely dirty?! It was a really fun game!
I pray every one had a Happy Easter!

Friendships & Dating
How do you tell a friend you are interested in you want to be more than friends? I have thought about this for weeks now, and I can not seem to come up with an answer that does not make me look like a teenager or just a complete idiot! HELP!
Hoppy Easter!
The Easter Weekend is one of my favorite weekends. It's a great time to reflect on the amazing Gift God gave to me. Praise to God for asking his only Son to die such a horrible death so I may have eternal life! Glory to God in Heaven, and Peace to his Children on Earth!
My weekend is going to be filled with lots of great things! Tonight, the men in my church are acting out "The Living Last Supper". I love this performance. It's a little long, but at times it truly brings me to tears. I am actually doing the make-up for the play tonight. I wonder how many of the men I can actually make look like a woman!
Tomorrow, I am going to the Dallas Blooms at the Arboretum! It's one of my favorite events to attend in Dallas.
Sunday afternoon, I am going over to the Biel's house to spend Easter Sunday with my "adopted" family in Dallas. We are going to eat, and play games. One of my favorite things to do is play Mexican train or chicken foot with the crazy Biel's.
I pray everyone has a great Easter Weekend!
God Bless!

Is Today really Monday?
My weekend was great. Friday night, I went to dinner with some friends. After dinner, I went home and took a long needed bath. It was blissful, and so relaxing! Saturday night, the girls and I had a girl's night out! We painted pottery, and went to dinner.....It was a great night, and I can not wait to do it again soon. I remember when my nights would consist of going out to a club, and drinking and dancing the night away. I loved those days. If I actually had friends who still went clubbing I would go.......but most of my friends are married with children, or in committed relationships . What I need is a great Single Friend, and a Great Gay Friend who still likes to "go out". OR What I actually want is Boyfriend for myself! Any takers? I will be taking applications Sunday thru Saturday 9am until 10pm. Please send any Single Males my Way.
I can not believe Easter is this Sunday! It seems like Christmas was only yesterday! I am off on Good Friday.......I maybe going to the Ft. Worth Zoo. I love going to the zoo.
Since Easter is Sunday, does your family have any special traditions for Easter?

Friday Night is Date Night
Hello Friends! Tonight is going to be great! I have a date! I am truly excited about tonight........Let me tell you a little about my date. My date is gorgeous, a devoted Christian, has a great sense of humor, enjoys life, is well rounded...........My date is MYSELF........that's right people, I have a date night planned with myself. When I arrive home this afternoon from work, I am going to do all the chores I can before my night of pampering begins. I have toes that need to be painted, a facial planned, a book that wants to be read and a long hot bubble bath in mind. I am such a Loser.........I remember not very long ago when Friday and Saturday nights were reserved for REAL dates with Real men! In the words of my favorite songs, "Where have all the Cowboys gone?" I am actually looking forward to my time to myself tonight, b/c the rest of my weekend will be filled with outings! I have a girls-night out planned tomorrow night which I am really looking forward too! It's going to be great getting to know the Ladies better!
Have a great fun filled, safe weekend! God Bless.

Muscles, Friends, and Church
My weekend was filled with good friends and misery. Friday night, I went to dinner with some good friends.....it was a great night out! I truly enjoyed myself! I love cooking at home, but at times it's so much more enjoyable to have someone wait on you, serve you food, and clean up the dishes!
Saturday was a great day from hell! My Sorority and I were car hops at Sonic as a fundraiser. We worked for tips from 10am to 5pm! I had a great time spending the day with my friends. It's always good to see my Sorority Sisters! BUT did you know you have ten thousand butt muscles, leg muscles, back muscles and arm muscles?!!!? I wanted to stretch my muscles so when I got home, I took the dogs on a long walk. Well, after the walk with the dogs, I thought my legs were going to fall off. I took a very long extremely hot bath! I think my bath lasted for a solid hour! I finally decide to get out of the tub, but since every muscle in my body was screaming I could not get up! I had horrible thoughts of me having to call 911 to get me out of the tub! Can you imagine the call? It would be something like this:
911 operator: What's your emergency?
ME: Well, I took a bath, and now I can not seem to get my big butt up and out of the tub......
911 operator: Ma'am can you please repeat that? (hahahahahahahaha)
ME: Here's my problem......I decided to take a bath after a long day of working and standing on my feet........When I decided to get out of the tub, my muscles are way to sore and my butt is too large to move........so I have been stuck in the tub for hours........and I do not seem to be getting any better........so can you PLEASE send over the Sexiest Fireman, Policeman, and EMT to my home ASAP......so I can get out of the tub.
911 operator: Ma'am (hahahahahaha), they are on their way (hahahahahahaha)
Praise God I did not have to call anyone to help me! I found some movement in my afterall and finally got out of the tub!
Sunday was a good day..........I truly enjoy my church, and all we do to glorify God! I am truly blessed to be a member of such a caring church. Last week, one of our Life-Long Church members passed away. Her name is Carolyn. Carolyn was a wonderful strong Christian woman whom I aim to be like. She was so grounded in her Faith, Family, and Church that she will be truly missed. Praise and Thanks to Christ for the wonderful Life Carolyn lead........Praise God she lived everyday with a positive attitude even with all her pain caused by cancer. Thanks to you Lord, for bringing Carolyn and the rest of her family into my life! She will be truly missed!
In God's Amazing Hands.
Have a great week!

Mild or Spicy, Please!?
Some like it HOT, some like it NOT!
Do you like your food spicy? If so, how's spicy? Spicy enough to make you sweat and your mouth explode??
What is your favorite spice?
What's been the spiciest food you have ever eaten???

Lime Jello
Last night, I heated up dinner, immediately brushed my teeth, and decided to have lime jello.......this is a Warning: NEVER have lime Jello right after you brush your teeth.......it was the worst thing I think I ever tasted.............the lime jello tasted like tar!!!! Yuk, GROSS! I had to throw the jello away!
Today is Friday! I am waiting for 4pm to come very quickly!!! The plans for the weekend will be very relaxed......I am cooking dinner for my friend Deb who has been out of town for a week. I am cooking pot roast, and I am actually bringing dinner over to her house!!! It will be great to see Deb and Robear! This weekend will be about relaxing, catching up on my Beth Moore bible study, reading my book club book, a Cea-how meeting, Noah's Soccer Game, dinner with Deb & Robear and Church on Sunday! I really need to catch up on my bible study---I have been a very bad Christian lately........I need to get focused! Praise God, He never loses focus on me! Thanks be to God he loves me unconditionally, and understands I am only human.........The world is so amazingly blessed to have a Savior with such compassion! We are going into week 6 in my Bible Study, and I have not even finished week 3, 4, or 5, and now I have to complete 6!!! I think on Saturday when I am cooking I am going to turn off the TV, and listen to soft music in the back ground, and finish Chapters 3, 4, and 5! Friends, Please Pray for my dedication to my study.........
Here's a question: Do you always need to have a TV or Radio on in your home? Do you need to have the TV or Radio on when you are reading? As soon as I walk into my apartment, one of the first things I do is turn on the TV............when I am reading or doing a bible study, I have to have the radio on, I normally listen to smooth Jazz or something along those lines. I even leave the radio on during the day so the dogs can have something to listen too!!!
Have a great weekend!

Girlfriends & Directions
Last night, Heather hosted a girls night out at her house! The evening was good. It was good to see the Pokeno Ladies again last night. My friend, Sharon, was there as well! It was so good to see Sharon outside of church. Heather's new house is simply precious! Here's the question of the day??? How did Heather & Jason ever find the cute little Lemon house all the ay in Neverland? I do not think I have ever taken so many rights or lefts to get to someone's house before!! I never thought I was going to get to Heather's new home!!!! Praise God Heather gave great directions b/c I would still be looking for the her Lemon House! Thanks Heather!!! Heather---Great Job on the Wall Colors.......I love it! I can not wait to sit on your front porch and rock the night away (boy, that makes us sound OLD)! Little Luke and Daddy Jason came in right before I went home........It's amazing how much father and son look alike! Luke was exhausted....He had a wild & crazy night with us friends! Luke was falling asleep in Heather arms (it was a great moment to watch)! It was about 9:30p when Sharon & I decided to leave! Since I was really lost by the time I got to Heather's, I told Sharon I was following her home. We only turned around once!!! We finally got on Custer Road, and we need to turn on Stonebridge Rd to go home the way we came..........But Sharon kept going straight......At that moment, I was totally paniced! I kept saying to Sharon this is not the way we came, this is not the way we came............and I am freaked out b/c I am totally lost (remember Sharon was in her car & I was in my car)!!!!! Sharon can we turn around, I am LOST, Please turn around!!!! Sharon I am stressing out here!! And as we were driving we came upon 121! I started saying Sharon is the Bomb....Go Sharon, Go Sharon.......Sharon, you get the SMART drivers award! Next time I go to Heathers, I am taking Custer Rd! Sharon, Thanks for getting me home last night!
God Bless!

The Joys of being an Adopted Aunt!
Last night, I watched Jillian so her Parents could go dancing at the Senior Center. They had a great time, and honestly I think Jillian and I had more fun! Jill and I ate dinner, played with Phoebe & Abby, watched American Idol, danced, danced, danced, danced & danced, hugged, kissed Phoebe and Abby or I should say Phoebe & Abby kissed all over Jillian(the more they kissed the more she giggled), ran around chasing each other, and I changed 2 wet diapers! Praise God for no #2 diapers!!!! Jill is a beautiful little girl with the sweetest personality! Lord, thanks so much for the time I spent with Jillian!!!

THIN women screaming to get out of this BODY!
My week has been extremely quiet.........I went to book club on Monday night (well, Monday night definitely was not quiet with all the kids running around, little Hunter is such a flirt....watch out Rebecca, when he gets older he's going to be a heartbreaker!), Tuesday night I went to my Beth Moore Bible Study, last night I watched TV & did a couple of chores.........BUT tonight is going to be great! I am going to Rock Fish for Dinner......YUM! Since I have been on my "new" change of life, I feel my food is boring.......I want fireworks at every meal, and lately it seems like I am eating at the old people cafeteria everyday....BORING! ;) So, tonight I am going to eat spicy fish, and I am going to love every minute of it!!!!!
The saying is true, Women must suffer to be beautiful!! I have never really seen myself as a "fat" girl.....don't get me wrong, I know I am extremely overweight, but I have always loved myself no matter what size I am in, I have always been comfortable with myself no matter what size I am in, and I have always thought I was sexy no matter what size I am in. However, I have always seen myself smaller than I am actually am, until I have seen a picture of myself, and then I think........Who the heck is that fat girl? I am shocked the "big" fat girl is myself! Yikes.
I talked to my Mom this morning........she said she really was proud of me for changing my eating habits.....she proceeded to tell me how stunning I was, and how impressed of me she is..........and in the very next sentence she told me the reason I was still single was because men do not like Large Women, and then she said Men do not like fat women.......she did not tell me once, or twice, but 4 times that Men do not like Fat Women! My first reaction was to tell her to be quiet, but I know she loves me, and Mom wants me to be healthier.......So, for once in my life, I just let Mom talk......and the conversation ended on a positive note with each of saying I love you!
God Bless!
Have a great day!

Thankful Everyday
During Lent, I have been giving Thanks and Praise to God for all the wonderful blessings in my Life.
Here are some of the Blessings I have been Thankful for:
*My Job
*Family & Friends
*I am thankful for the time I had with my MawMaw and Jeff. Praise God they are at rest in the Lord.
*I am thankful for little Cameron & the joy he brings into my life. Cameron has taught me so much about Christ (it's truly amazing).
*I am very blessed to have two precious dogs who calm my loneliness.
*I am very blessed to have the Lord who is active & alive in my Life.
*I adore all the children in my life. I love getting high fives from Noah and Camden(and hugs from them too), hugs from Kirsten, Kaden, Jillian, Courtney, Hunter, Krislynn, and I love holding Allison, Abigail, and Kenneth. If someone ever needs emotional therapy, hold a newborn. It brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. It's one of the most peaceful feelings I have ever experienced!!!!
*It's amazing to watch Chase & Allie (my nephew & niece) grow into teenagers. I love talking to them about there life. They have so many opportunities as teenagers that I never had......Technology Rocks! I am the cool Aunt Tammy who listens to the same music they do, who buys from the "cool" stores, and who they can simply just hang out with! I ROCK!
*I am very blessed to be a member of a Great Church Community! A couple of years ago, I thought about changing churchs, but it was God's will for me to stay at the one I am at. I feel so welcomed & loved.
*When I was 30, my Step-Dad adopted me. I was blessed the Day my Mom married my Step-Dad. My Daddy has been a great Positive influence in my life! Praise God for making a man who would Love not only my Mother, but who also fell in love with her children.
*Praise God for allowing me to be the Granddaughter to a wonderful man by the name of Dave. I can not ever remember a time when PawPaw was not a strong solid rock for the family. I have only seen him cry once, and it was at my MawMaw's funeral. I inspire to be like him.
*God Bless the families in Dallas who have unofficially adopted me. Thanks to the Biel Family, Paige Family, and the Jordan family. I really do not think they realized what they were doing when they all took my under their wings!!!!
*I am very blessed to be a member of my Sorority! I love getting to know everyone in the Sorority!!!! They are all great women.
*I am thankful God placed 6 great individuals in my life at work who make my daily routine at work so much more enjoyable!
*I am very blessed to have Beth, Candice, Richard, Gabe, and Tracy in my life since I was a young adult. Thanks to each of you for taking care of me when I did not know how. Thank you so much for all the great memories.......I love the "good old days", and I pray for many, many more happy memories with each of you!
*I am blessed to have Karla, Deborah, Rebecca, Sharon, Taza, Heather, Laura, and the rest of my Church friends who inspire me to be a better Christian and one day a Great Mother!
Have a great fun-filled weekend.

Work Relationships
It's been a pretty good morning until my co-worker, Glenda, told me she could tell I have lost some weight........So, now it's a GREAT morning! Go Tammy Go......Hold on while I do the Tammy Dance! Okay, okay........I have stopped dancing, everyone can relax now!
The diet is a little hard, but it's not as hard as I thought it would be. I will take it one day at a time, and will do God's will with each passing day.

Survival of the Fittest!
I started the Cea-HOW eating plan today! I want to be a BIGGER LOSER than I am now! I pray God gives me the strength, and the will-power to lose weight! I need to be healthier, and look sexier! Amen! I met some really great people at the cea-how meeting!
I had a 4 day weekend! It was great to be out of the office. I went to the Doctor, the movies, cooked dinner for some friends, shopped until my feet hurt, went to a Cea-HOW meeting, church, and watched movies at home! It was great! I even took the dogs for a long walk on Saturday and by the time we got home we were all exhausted!
During Lent, I want to take more time out for God, and Thank God for all my many blessings! Each day I am going to pray and thank God for something in my life I love! God is Glorious!

Unprofessional in a Christian Company
I interviewed for a Buyer's position a little less than 2 weeks ago. I really do not think I got the position b/c I heard the VP of that department (who is my VP now) talk to a Supervisor about the position. VP said he thought someone from the Supervisor's team would be a great fit for that position......VP was on the phone in his office right across from my desk with his door open! How UNprofessional can someone really be? It was tacky. I am EXTREMELY qualified for the Buying Position......Honestly, If I do not get the position, it will be b/c I am female....I do believe they really wanted a man for this position...Simply put, the company I work for strives to be a great Christian Company but if falls short so very often. I am disappointed in the company I work for. Heavenly Father, I ask for wisdom, clarity, and blessings upon me today........If I do not get the Buying Position, please direct me in the right position so I can continue to do your Will in Corporate America. Blessings to All!

Are you Shy???
Last night, I was talking to Karla. I discovered Karla is shy......this news was extremely weird to me b/c I never thought of any of my friends really being shy?! Karla is the same friend who claims she is shy, but told everyone on the internet she went "stinkys" in the potty! Are you just as confused as I am?! When I look back, I would have to say most of my friends are shy.
Believe it or not, but when I was younger I was extremely shy. I would never talk to anyone other than the people I knew. When I started high school, my life started to change. My Governement teacher told me to be proud of who I was, and then he told me I was going to "help" out with mock trials. So, my teacher casted me as the "hysterical-crazy" person in the trial. It helped me grow as a young adult. When I finally started college & lived on campus, my life completely changed. I started to get of out of my shell, and I became the person I am today. I am no longer shy. I can talk to anyone at anytime, anywhere! Don't get me wrong, at times I can become the "shy teenager" when I am around a man I am interested in, but most of the time I am who I am! So, the question of the day is............ARE YOU SHY?

Monday's are GREAT!
I am really trying to fool myself today! Monday's are so hard on me, but today is going to beautiful here.........The weather change will be great after the rainy weekend we had!
My weekend forecast was:
Friday night, I went to my church's Talent/Un-Talent show........I am in the sign choir. We performed Holy is the Lord.........we were GREAT......maybe the best performance of the night......then again after watching our Youth Pastor dance with a one of the contestants maybe he was the best performance of the night! I went to have coffee after the Talent show......it was a great night. Saturday, I actually got up early enough to lead our Faith weekly bible study....I then went Karla's house, and ended up at the mall in horrible rain. Saturday night, Deb came over for dinner and we watched In Her Shoes. It was a good time. I am glad Deb came over on Saturday night b/c I did not want to be alone!
You see.........my Step-brother, Jeff, went to be with the Lord early on Saturday morning. Praise God he went quickly! Please pray for my family, and Jeff's Grandmother and Mom. I am doing really well handling Jeff's death.........so much better than I am still handling my MawMaw's death. I am pretty sure my MawMaw met Jeff when he got into heaven! Praise God for Grandmothers!
Sunday was church.......and I babysat on Sunday afternoon! I adore watching children! They teach me so much about God......it's simply amazing! The girls Dad made Sunday a no TV day. So, we played Madagascar Sorry, and read books. It was great medicine to be silly with the kids. I even won the game! Miss Tammy WON the game........it that not the saddest thing you ever have read.......I won the game while I was playing with a 4 year old and a 6 year old! I even tried to lose......I tried to lose real hard too.......but they kept making all kinds of silly mistakes, and everytime I would try to break the rules, I got yelled at.......So, I won the game playing by the rules! Silly Girls! I was home about 7:30pm, in PJ's by 7:40pm, and was asleep on the sofa about 9:45pm!

Can you teach a young dog new tricks?
My life has been extremely busy the last few weeks..........and I love it! During my chaos, I have been trying to teach my dogs to sit, stay, heel, and shake. Here are their results: Abby will only sit when I have cheese or her favorite treat in my hand, Phoebe never sits b/c she is the most restless dog in the world. Abby & Phoebe will only stay long enough to finish a treat and immediately after they are running around like crazy little freaks. Trying to train them to heel is a completely different story.....it's pure chaos.....Their definition of heel is run like maniacs! I really want them to learn how to shake........but Abby looks like I am beating her everytime I say shake, and when I tell Phoebe to shake, she will actually lift her paw, but at the same time she bites me???!!!! Phoebe is my passive aggressive pup. So, I have decided they can be cute little untrained dogs for their entire lives!!! At least, they are house broken!!!! Honestly, I am not going to have any training sessions this week, but I will start again on Monday. I will work on one command at a time, and if they master that one command I will reward them like crazy and start on the next command! Wish me luck!!!!

My Birthday, and the old ole days....
WOW! It's amazing how quickly a 3 day passes! I believe even if I took off a whole week from work it still would not be enough!!!!
I took Friday off.......and it was a GREAT day! Deb and I went to breakfast, shopping in Frisco, and then we went to downtown ole' McKinney. I love downtown McKinney! It's a beautiful little town! I would love to live in a small town! Everytime I walked out of a store I just imagined the "good old days" when the little town of McKinney was established! I think about the time frame my Grandparents grew up in.......My PawPaw did not even have a toilet in his home as a child! Can you imagine? Times back then were so much simpler, people were centered around family and friends, and everyone went to church. Times have changed so much in 80 years. Okay, let me get back on track............Friday night, Deb, Robert, and I went to Kobe Steak..........It was so great! I loved it. Saturday morning, I went to breakfast with Karla. Saturday night, I went to dinner with 26 of my friends! I had a great birthday day!!!! Sunday was another great day........I went to church, and then to lunch.........and dinner with friends!!!!
The only sad aspect about my birthday is that it's OVER! boohoo, boohoo, boohoo!!!! I do have a great Praise about this weekend! God has blessed me with some amazing friends! I am truly blessed to have all the friendships in my life.........and ,of course, all the children in my life!
I am simply amazed how quickly life happens...........I just turned 32, but I still feel like I am 21.......Praise God I am not 21 anymore, but I still feel young. My MawMaw use to say she felt she was a young woman trapped in an old woman's body!
The Ice Cream feast was GREAT! I had ice cream twice this weekend! Oh my goodness.........It was blissful! I went to Henry's on Friday, and Cold Stone Creamy on Sunday! The ice cream was sinfully delightful!
Have a great day! I will write more soon.
Big Hugs!

A Day in the Life.....
Yesterday afternoon, I gave both dogs a bath! It's amazing how much better they look and feel after I bathe them! Abby & Phoebe did their race around the apartment for about 30 minutes after they were clean!
I had an interview today at 9am for a Buyer Position for the company I already work for! It was a great interview......But aren't all interviews good, & then they never call you?! I pray I get the position! Please pray I get the position! It's everything I love to do!
This morning I struggled to get out of bed at 5:00am........I did not want to actually work today, I just wanted to have my interview and then go home!!! Today is my "Friday" for work. I have tomorrow off! Praise God for small favors! It's amazing since I have tomorrow off, I have the long weekend/short-timers disease.......meaning I am not working any more today!!! No more pen pushing for me!
Since it's my birthday weekend, I ate a piece of chocolate cake today. I have not had any "real" sugar since Christmas time..........and Guess What? The chocolate cake was good, but not Great like I remember it being! When I have ice cream this weekend, maybe the ice cream will be just okay instead of the rich flavors I miss so much! I hope the ice cream will just be okay so I will never have to eat it again............Who the heck am I kidding? If one flavor of ice cream is not so good, I am jumping to the next flavor until I find my all time favorite! Ice cream is my complete downfall! It's my favorite dessert! Whoever invented ice cream needs to be shot???
Hugs!

Valentine's & Friendships!
Praise God yesterday is over. Valentine's Day never really bothered me until the last couple of years. I can not really explain it, but I have come to actually dislike Valentine's day! I am glad it's over. What's a single girl suppose to do on Valentine's day? Sit at home and drown in my own self-pity b/c I am Single.........NOPE, not going to happen.......Praise God I am Single, Praise God I only have to pick up after myself.........I am still looking for my soul-mate, and I know he's out there someone! God, Please bless my future husband.....may he be happy in you.
It's 3 days until my birthday!!! I am so looking forward to spending Saturday night with my family here in Dallas. God has blessed me completely with my circle of friends here in Dallas. I could not ask for better friends. It brings me to tears to imagine life without my friends, and my family! Life is completely about relationships and building your relationships through Christ. It's about watching our children grow up with lives filled with laughter, happiness, and the love of Christ. It's about having someone you can turn to when you need a friend. It's about the simple things in life.....the great book....God's word, Family, Friends, Laughter, Children, Happiness.....Life is simply a masterpiece waiting to happen........Thanks to my friends who have made my masterpiece exciting and fun! Thanks to all of my friends who love me just the way I am, Thank you for letting me into your lifes, Thank you for being there for me, and most importantly Thank you for being you!!!! God, please bless my family and friends......May they prosper in you.
Have a great day!

Where have all the Cowboys gone?
I heard one of my favorite songs on the radio yesterday, and I can not get it out of my head!!!
Here are the lyrics:
Enjoy!
Here are the lyrics:
PAULA COLE
Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?
Oh you get me ready in your 56 chevy
Why don't we go sit down in the shade
Take shelter on my front porch
The dandy lion sun scorching,
Like a glass of cold lemonade
I will do laundry if you pay all the bills
CHORUS:
Where is my John Wayne
Where is my prairie song
Where is my happy ending
Where have all the cowboys gone
Why don't you stay the evening
Kick back and watch the TV
And I'll fix a little something to eat
Oh I know your back hurts from working on the tractor
How do you take your coffee my sweet
I will raise the children if you pay all the bills
Chorus
I am wearing my new dress tonight
But you don't, but you don't even notice me
Say our goodbyes
Say our goodbyes
Say our goodbyes
We finally sell the chevy
When we had another baby
And you took the job in tennessee
You made friends at the farm
And you joined them at the bar
Almost every single day of the week
Chorus
I will wash the dishes while you go have a beer
Where is my Marlboro man
Where is his shiny gun
Where is my lonely ranger
Where have all the cowboys gone
Yippee aw, yippee yea (3 times)
Enjoy!

More quirks....and the tea.
Here's some more quirks of mine:
I can not stand hangnails......they must come off! As well as un-even nails.....gross!
I hate getting all dolled up to go to a formal event, but once I am ready to go I become a Sassy Diva! It must be the red hair.
When I take my dogs outside, I hate when neighbors who are walking their dogs ask me stupid questions......or better yet tell me how to walk my dogs??? Can someone really tell me how to walk my dogs??? I thought by putting one leg in front of the other was good enough!
I hate getting Friday afternoon traffic on 75.......On Friday afternoons people become NASCAR drivers......simply, the road is filled with NASCAR idiots!
I hate when People learn I am a devoted Christian they automatically assume I am very closed minded.
I hate committing myself to certain things, b/c I know I will hate the fact I committed myself to it and I will dread going, but once get there I have a great time. It's always a constant battle within myself to get myself there...........but like I said, I always have a great time once I get to the event!
I hate ironing clothes!!!
--------------------------------------------------------------
My Sorority will have our Sweetheart tea on Saturday. What does one wear to a tea???? I have been asking myself this question all week......Do I wear pants, a skirt.....Pajama's?! We are having the tea at an old Opera house! I am more excited about the location than I am about the tea. I think I am going to wear my new pink shirt.........Hey Sharon, since you were being so domesticated yesterday with mopping your floors, Can you please come Iron my shirt? ;) LOL!
Have a Happy Friday, and a blessed weekend!
Big Hugs!

What makes me unique?
My dear friend, Sharon, wrote a blog about all of her little quirks......She did such a great job, I thought I would do my own quirks.
My quirks:
Everything has a place, and everything must be in it's place! (I believe this curse is from my Parents) Picture frames, or any of my pretty things must be in there place! I am extremely anal about cleaning too! My apartment must be cleaned weekly!
Dishes can NOT be left in the sink over night, but dishes can be left in the sink during the day. (this really does not make sense).
While grocery shopping, I must go down every isle! It simply is not a good shopping experience if I can not go down each isle.
I am very critical of my own cooking! Although I am a great cook, I always think I can do better! When I have company over, I never let them help me clean up.......even if the company is family, or a friend who is family!
I take the same route to and from work everyday!
I have a routine at night when getting ready for bed.......I take off my eye make-up, wash my face, floss my teeth, brush my teeth, and then I put asterigent on my face.......it's the same routine since I was in college.
No one, and I mean no one, can take care of my dogs the way I do! I am the best Dog Parent in the World!!!! I am over-protective of my dogs too! My Vet. knows me by name! (Imagine me with my own children---watch out world!!)
I can not stand for my hair to be in my face, and I must always sleep with my hair in a ponytail!
What are some of your quirks??
Stay tuned, and I will tell you what my pet peeves are!!!
God Bless!

I can not stand for my hair to be in my face, and I must always sleep with my hair in a ponytail!
What are some of your quirks??
Stay tuned, and I will tell you what my pet peeves are!!!
God Bless!

28 hours a day?
I think 4 more hours should be added to each day! Last night, I had every intention of reading my bookclub book, and cleaning my house. As soon as I walked into my home, all my energy just completely drained! I got my second wind around 9:30pm......which should have been bedtime....I cleaned my kitchen, and straightened up. Tonight, I must read, read, read, and clean! I am going to clean the bathroom tonight, dust tomorrow night, and vaccum on Friday. Hopefully, when the weekend comes I will only have to bathe the dogs, clean their beds, and change my sheets! I enjoy doing housework, except when I feel overwhelmed by them! Right now, I feel extremely overwhelmed.
Last night was a long night for me. I kept thinking about my MawMaw. I started to cry, and laugh at the same time. I miss MawMaw terribly, she was a great crazy Lady! She was definitely a handful! I admire my PawPaw for being such a great support to MawMaw during their marriage. There were many times when PawPaw could have left, but he made a promise to her, himself, and God that he would stay married to MawMaw thru good, bad, and extremely bad times. I am truly amazed at how much they loved each other b/c they were complete opposites. I worry about PawPaw constantly now. I know he's so lonely.....I pray for comfort & peace in his life! PawPaw is a great man! I love & adore him. I pray God sends me a man like PawPaw, except the man he sends must do chores.........PawPaw just started doing chores since MawMaw went to be with the Lord! lol!
My family and I are planning a Thanksgiving away this year. We are going to the Rocky Mountains in TN. It's going to be a beating trying to please everyone on this trip. Give me a rocking chair outside, a good book, a cup of hot tea or coffee, and I will be happy.........Oh, and give me a good hiking trail.........without bugs......maybe I should pack my friend, Laura, in my suitcase.......she can handle creepy crawly things! Praise God for friends like Laura!
I have lost a total of 8.5 lbs! Yea ME! I need to get a little more strict with myself! My portion sizes must be smaller, and I must limit my carbs. I have increased my veggies and fruit intake, and I was doing great on low carbs until yesterday.......yesterday I had a carb feast! Gosh, it was great! I still have not had any "real" sugar.....and I am proud about it! On my birthday, I am eating cake and ice cream! YUM! The ice cream must come from a great ice cream place....maybe marble slab, or cold stone creamery.......my brain is about to explode just thinking about it!!!
I am done rambling for now! Have a great day!

This is for the Blog Nazi........Enjoy!
It's Monday again! How does the weekend go buy so quickly? I am upset with the person who came up with a 40 hour work week.........Life is about relationships, not about "work". I would much prefer spending 40 hours a week building and enhancing the relationships I have through Jesus Christ!
I had a great relaxing weekend!!! Friday night, I went to dinner with my friends, Deb & Robert. We went to Babe's. I read Babe's was suppose to have the best fried chicken.......so we decided to go! The chicken was very good, but I do believe Popeye's is better......shhh!!!....Don't tell Babe I said that. After dinner, we needed to burn off some calories, so we went to Central Market......I just love Central Market!
Saturday was a great day. I went to see Brokeback Mountain. I wanted to see what all the hype was about....honestly, I did not think the movie was going to be good. I was shocked how much I loved it. I laughed and cried......and after I left the movie it's all I could think about for about an hour. I loved it so much, I am going to go see it again with a Sorority sister soon!
Saturday afternoon, I went over to Leigh's house to have some wine, and go over my pledging for Sorority. I think I had a little too much wine.......the wine was great, and Leigh's company was wonderful!!!! I left Leigh's about 7pm, and went to Karla's house.......Kenny cooked Taco's and they were great, especially since I had my wine buzz.
Sunday was a busy day. I went to Sunday School, Church, lunch, grocery store, home to take the dogs outside, back up to church, Superbowl Party, and finally I was home relaxing about 8:30pm. It was a great busy day!!! While I was at church, I was playing with Noah and Camden, and the Blog Nazi got me. My dearest friend Sharon told me to update my blog!!!! On my way home to Church, I knew Sharon would get me.......it was just a matter of time!!!! hahaha!!! It's all in good fun, b/c I was Sharon's Nazi last week! My Dearest Sharon this blog is just for you! Okay, I am going to be the Nazi right now..........Heather, UPDATE your blog!!!! Hugs!
My goal this week is to start and finish my book club book this week........We have book club in one week, and the book is East of Eden......601 pages! I need prayers for reading this week!!!
My other goal is to clean my home from top to bottom.
Have a very blessed week!

Boys and Girls
Last Night, I went to Sharon's house. I met Heather, Jason, Littleman Luke, and Brooke. It was great meeting you guys!!!! I really enjoyed myself......We ate pizza, chatted, and watched the little boys take over the house. It was wonderful!!! One of my favorite things in life is to watch children play so I can hear their laughter! I adore it when kids "belly laugh". It was great watching the children interact with each other.......Luke was the independent one, Camden the Comedian (I love Camden's dog imitation), and Noah the hyper exhausted one. Sharon, Thanks so much for inviting me over! Next time, I will host!!!
Here's the question of the day: How come girls have to suffer to be beautiful???? Yesterday afternoon, I waxed my lip. It's the worst PAIN I have ever experienced! I always feel like my face is going to completely fall off......It brings tears to my eyes, and it makes me hate being a woman (for a few seconds anyway)! Why do I still wax? Well, let's just say, I do not want to end up like Aunt Mildred at the age of 50 with half a beard! Gross! I will suffer to be beautiful! Boys have it so much easier than girls in the beauty department!!!

Estate Sales
Friday Night, I went to Dinner at Paesano's for Heather's birthday......and dinner was great, and the company so much better!!! On Saturday, I went to Estate Sales with my friends Linda and John. I had a great time! I love going to Estate Sales.....although I did not buy anything, I had a ball! It's kinda weird to walk thru someone's house, and look at all their belongings and watch people go wild about it all. I wonder if I ever had a Estate Sale, would people "fight" all over my precious, wonderful things. I just love my little apartment! I keep trying to add new things constantly......but since I only live in a one bedroom, my home is beginning to fill up quite quickly! At this moment, I do not have any more wall space........no bare walls in my home, it's kinda weird!! Anyway, on Saturday we ate lunch at Celebration...and it was YUMMY! I love Celebration.....I had the Jamaican Jerk Chicken...and it was spicy and wonderful! I rented a movie Saturday night, and I was resting on the sofa no later than about 8pm.......it was blissful! Sunday, I went to church.......and Pastor Bruce's message was great! Bruce is constantly on fire about Christ! He's amazing!
The count down begins: 20 days until my birthday!!! WooHoo.......I am so excited!!! I just love my birthday!!!

Allergic to Boo.....
On Wednesday night, I was cleaning, doing laundry, taking care of the animals, and trying not to start too many projects before I go to bed. So, I decided it was bed time around 11:30p, I take out the dogs, and I come back in. I give BooBoo Kitty his eye medicine. And the drama starts. First, I must say....I am allergic to BooBoo.....I have been allergic since day one.....so, why do I have a cat???? The reason is I simply love & adore the bitter old cat! So, after I give BooBoo his eye drops, I feel I am completely covered in his fur...GROSS! I changed my clothes, rubbed my eye, and then washed my hands......Let's just say, I should have washed my hands first......My right eye started to swell, and my pupil started turning 10 shades of red. I am sure it did not help that I kept rubbing the eye to "make" it feel better!!! I was going to take Benadryl, use allergy eye drops on myself, and then go to bed. I had no Benadryl in the house, so I go to Kroger at Midnight with my eye about to fall out of my head, and the Lady behind the counter asked who punched me in the face. At first I was shocked she even asked, but all I could do was laugh, and tell her my cat did it. I finally get home, take the Benadryl, and go to bed. When I woke up yesterday morning, and my eye is not any better! I looked like someone beat me up yesterday morning......I was a sad sight yesterday.........I took more benadryl, and used more eye drops, and went to work......by about 3pm, my eye was much better....Praise God.
This morning my eye is back to normal.......Thank God for small favors!
Last Night, I took Gumbo up to the TCo team. The TCo team means so much too me with all they do for my church. I truly appreciate their talents, and their love of Christ. I am truly blessed to have this service, and everyone involved in the TCo team in my life. I pray to God no one got sick from the Gumbo!!! If I do say so myself, it was GREAT gumbo. I have been on a cajun cooking frenzy........Since I went home for Christmas, all I want to eat is cajun this or cajun that. I need to stop with this addiction before I turn into gumbo!
I have a very relaxing weekend planned. I am going to dinner tonight to celebrate my friend, Heather's, birthday! Tomorrow, I might go to a couple estate sales......then again maybe not.....I am definitely renting movies tomorrow night to have a Tammy night at home alone! I am so looking forward to relaxing and enjoying my time. I also will go to the library tomorrow to pick up my next book club book! I do want to read the book this time! I am bad about reading every book! Oh well, I really love going for the girl time, and if I do not read the book, then I simply don't read it. I read about half the books, and that's just fine with me! So, I will start on the new book this weekend! Sunday is church. A great relaxing weekend will be great!
God Bless!

Why I can not say NO?!
Well, I agreed to be on another committee at church this week.........I am on the Worship Team, and now the Church Life team. I love being on the worship team, and I think the Church Life Team will be a little freaked out with my ideas about doing things a little different this year. I pray they will listen with open hearts.
My weekend was good. I even took a nap on Saturday afternoon! I never take naps.......there is always something to do......so naps are normally out of the question. It was great relaxing and sleeping, even my dogs took a nap during that time.
I went to see Fun with Dick and Jane on Saturday......It was a cute movie, but it should have been a rental! I had a good time with my friend, Deb.
I can not believe it's been over 6 months since MawMaw died. It amazes me how quickly time passes. It seems like yesterday I was flying home to attend her funeral. My family and I have been through so much in the last several months. MawMaw's death, Hurricane Katrina, Aunt Shirley's death, Hurricane Rita, and now my Step-Brother, Jeff, is extremely ill! I am very thankful we all have God in our hearts........How do people manage life with Christ Jesus? I am amazed each day at the mighty works God does in my life, and the lives of my family and friends. We are all so truly blessed.........Thank You God for all you have done for us, and all you will continue to do!
This upcoming weekend will be very quiet! Praise God.....Friday night, I am going to my friend Heather's bday party and Saturday morning, I am going to bible study........and that's all I have planned! It's going to be a great weekend........I might go rent some movies!
God Bless, and Big Hugs!

Celebrating my 3rd Annual 29th Birthday
Oh My Goodness! I just realized in 32 days, on Saturday, Feb. 18th, I will celebrate my 32nd birthday. How did I get into my 30's? Better yet, how did I get to wear the badge of honor of being 32?! Time flies by so very quickly! I will have to decide what I will do on my birthday. I took a vacation day on Friday the 17th......a 3 day birthday weekend is going to be great! My 20's were good, and so far my 30's have been great! Praise God for good health, great family & friends, and my precious little pups, Abby & Phoebe! So, if anyone ask........I am only 29!
Weekend Bliss.
I had a great weekend! On Friday, I went to dinner with some friends.........Saturday afternoon, I went to see Glory Road with Josh Lucas! Oh my goodness, Josh Lucas is one incredibly good actor......In everything, Josh does he is simply amazing! He has stunning beautiful eyes! Praise God for Josh! Glory Road is a GREAT movie.......Everyone must go see it!
At church, Pastor Shannon preached about are you listening to God or are you listening to the noise around you......it was a great sermon! It completely hit home......how many times do I just pray and walk away from the prayer......how many times do I have the TV or radio on when I should be listening to God.......How many times do I know it's God talking to me, and I just ignore it........how many times do I simply not listen? Heavenly Father, Please forgive me........Please help me listen, help me to understand what you want me to do, and help me to carry out YOUR Will!
Until next time........listen to our Father.

Change of Life
WOW, this week has completely flown by! I am doing great on my eating this week.......low carb, low fat, lots of water, no sugar and walking the dogs more! I am actually proud of myself...........If I can keep up the pace, I will lose the weight I need to lose! Go Tammy, Go Tammy! It has not even been difficult so far....Praise GOD! I do need to start trying some new recipes. I have a recipe for a sugar free, fat free orange dream cheesecake.......it sounds wonderful...I pray it is good. I need to start trying some new lunch and supper recipes! I will start looking for new "diet" recipes today! If anyone has a great low-calorie recipe, please send it my way!!!
I will write more tomorrow.......it's lunch time! God Bless!

The Good Old Days.

I was flipping through some old pictures this weekend.......It's amazing how my life has changed, and how God has blessed me with some really amazing friends..........This is a picture of my friends Scott, April and me! I went to visit Scott and April for Thanksgiving......it was amazing waking up every morning and looking out the window and looking at God's beautiful masterpiece.
Heather this is for you.........
I am a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. It is not affiliated with church or school. The Sorority is a Social Club.....My Mom has been a member for 25+ years, and last year I decided to join. It's been a great experience! You can check out the website at www.betasigmaphi.org

Being Sick in NEVER fun!
Well, it's official........I am sick! I have a head cold! My nose will not stop running, my eyes are watering like little fountains, and my head is about to fall off due to all the pressure. Here's the weird part.........how come only my right eye waters when I am sick??? I am simply a complex bundle of sickness this week.........The only thing I wanted to do is sleep and watch chic flicks!
Yesterday, I was leaving work...........and two men were walking in my direction, and I looked up, and one of the guys smiled at me with a cute, goofy smile, so of course, I had to smile and wink at him......as I pasted him, he smelled so good, I almost turned around and followed him! Anyway, as I looked back to look at him, he turned and looked back, too!!! I am one hot sexy sick babe!!!!! Hopefully, I will see him again soon! My PawPaw's Assistant, Karen, told me yesterday she "feels" like I am going to meet my future husband this year..........I asked her did she have a direct phone line to God........Karen said it was just a feeling she had!!! Lord, Please bless my future Husband.........May he be happy and healthy in your Spirit!
I had my Sorority Meeting Last night. For most of the meeting, the Ladies agrued about money! I understand money is important especially since our bank account is so low right now, but did we have to discuss it for over an hour last night...........yuk! It took me about 45 minutes to even get to Lorraine's house, let's just say, my sense of direction at night is horrible! I need someone to drive places at night! Other than the money talk, I had a good time last night....It's always good to see my Sisters...........I am going over to Leigh's Saturday night to discuss my pledging! I am looking forward to it!!!
God Bless........

A New Year, A New Life
I simply can not believe it is 2006! 2005 flew by so very quickly!!! It's amazing the older I get the more time passes more quickly!
On New Years's Eve, I went to Deb and Robert's house. We played a couple of games, ate, and watched a not so funny movie, The Party. Deb said it was so funny, and I thought it was so boring! Sorry Deb..........but it made me fall asleep!!! I work up about 10pm after my little nap, and then Deb and I stayed up until about 12:05am.........We were so tired we went to bed! In my younger days, I could stay up until the wee hours in the morning, and now I have officially become old! LOL!
I am excited about 2006............I have my resolutions all planned out........growing my faith, a diet (oops a life style change), excersise, and finding a husband!
Good Luck to everyone with your New Resolutions!
God Bless!
